These special flowers range in colors of orange and red, and if observed very carefully appear to give off small wisps of smoke. They must be used quickly after harvesting, for its not long before they are completely consumed by their own flame once plucked.
If affixed to a buttonhole, lapel, or hat band, the wearer is affected as if by a haste spell for up to an hour. After this time the flower is reduced to ash and the wielder will find themselves exhausted and quite hungry. If care is taken, in amongst the ash may be discovered a few small hot seeds from which new flowers of speed could be germinated.
Ironically flowers of speed take some time to grow from seed, requiring 2d6 days of care before they are ready for harvesting.
